Did the Aventador SVJ break a N\u00fcrburgring record?<\/span><\/h3>\n

The N\u00fcrburgring is a strenuous track that stretches out over nearly 13 miles and features over 150 turns. For decades, it has been a proving ground for both race cars and production cars alike, and the battle for fastest production car will always occur at this track.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every year, production cars from manufacturers the world over descend on the N\u00fcrburgring in pursuit of the perfect lap and their spot on the leaderboards. Since September 20, 2017, the track record for production cars was held by a Porsche 911 GT2 RS at 6:47.25, but now that has all changed. On July 26, 2018, The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, still in press paint, shattered the previous record with an official time of 6:44.97.<\/span><\/p>\n
