The Si\u00e1n charges itself, and it does so when you brake. The drivetrain isn\u2019t the only innovation here. Instead of traditional lithium-ion batteries, the Si\u00e1n is the first hybrid production car to ever use supercapacitors. These supercapacitors offer symmetric power flow which means it takes the same energy to charge them as they discharge when in use.<\/span><\/p>\n
