Which Lamborghini has the best acceleration?

What is the fastest Lamborghini ever?

Lamborghini has made some wickedly fast cars over the years, but what is the fastest Lamborghini ever? This is actually a difficult question, as fast can mean something different depending on who is asking. Are we talking about lap times or acceleration times? Either way, we have some answers.

What is the fastest accelerating Lamborghini ever?

The title of fastest accelerating Lamborghini ever goes to the Aventador Superveloce or Aventador SV for short. With a 2.8-second 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph) time and an 8.5-second 0 to 200 kph (0 to 124 mph) time, this is near the fastest production car ever built. Overall, it can do a quarter-mile in just 10.3 seconds, making it a true 10-second car.

This particular Lamborghini is no longer in production, as it was based on the Aventador, which has now been replaced by the Aventador S. The Aventador S puts up some respectable numbers in its own right though with a 2.9-second 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph) time and an 8.8-second 0 to 200 kph (0 to 124 mph) time.

Are Lamborghini models mid-engine?

Don’t expect the Aventador SV to last for long in the top spot though. The Aventador S is a big improvement over the Aventador, and it’s likely only a matter of time before an even more extreme version comes out, similar to the SV.

What is the fastest Lamborghini around a track?

You may expect the Aventador SV to be the fastest around the track too, but though it is one of the fastest, it is not THE fastest. At least not around Germany’s Nurburgring. That record actually belongs to the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, which managed to have a total lap time of 6:52.01.

This time is over 7 seconds faster than the Aventador SV, making it one of the fastest production cars ever tested there. The Huracan Performante owes its faster lap times to its aerodynamic characteristics, which are more finely tuned for track use.

The Aventador SV still beats the Huracan Performante in a straight line. The Performante does put up some impressive figures though. In fact, this car nearly matches the current Aventador S in straight-line performance with a 2.9-second 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph) time and an 8.9-second 0 to 200 kph (0 to 124 mph) time.
