What are the Centenario and Veneno Roadster models?

Lamborghini one-off models and concepts

Lamborghini has been making beautiful machines for decades. Often even more extravagance can be found in the Lamborghini one-off models and concepts. See for yourself as we explore some of these hot models and talk about what makes them unique.

What is a Lamborghini one-off model?

These are limited run vehicles typically based off a current model but highly customized to suit a particular design aesthetic. Often Lamborghini only ever produces a few dozen models. Lamborghini specially reserves those few models for Lamborghini collectors and fans.

The Centenario

Lamborghini built the Centenario to commemorate Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday, and the name reflects that. Designed off the Aventador, there will be 40 Centenario models produced in all with 20 of them being coupes and 20 of them being roadsters.

The engine is a powerful V12 as you likely expected. It is capable of producing 759 horsepower and 509 pound-feet of torque giving it a 0 to 62 mph time of 2.8 seconds. This model also features rear-wheel steering and a touchscreen infotainment system. All of them are already sold, as is to be expected. The starting price is 1.75 million euros or $2.07 million at current exchange rates.

The Veneno

Even more outlandish and exclusive is the Veneno. Lamborghini also based the Veneno on the Aventador. Built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Automobili Lamborghini, the model debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013.

Keeping with the Lamborghini naming tradition, Lamborghini named the Veneno for a legendary fighting bull that is known as one of the strongest and most aggressive bulls ever. Lamborghini only sold three models, and the starting price was as high as 3.12 million euros $3.69 million at current exchange rates.
