Differences in the Huracan Avio

On the exterior is where you will notice the first major differences. The Avio features its own unique liveries. These can be customized by the client but can include a double off-center stripe, accents across the bottom sill of the car, accented mirrors, and even a tail number on the door. The Avio comes in five exclusive colors.

The interior gets its own unique treatment with laser-engraved Alcantara seats that also feature the L 63 tail number. That tail number presumably stands for Lamborghini 1963, as 1963 was the year Lamborghini was founded.

How limited is the Huracan Avio

Lamborghini often makes extremely limited runs of its vehicles. It is not uncommon for us to talk about a car that only ever had two or three examples built, but the Huracan Avio is a little more accessible. In all, Lamborghini will build 250 Huracan models, and each one will come with its own limited edition plate so you know which one you have.

Is this the first aviation themed Lamborghini?

Most modern Lamborghini models do take a great deal of inspiration from aviation, specifically from the most high-tech planes to ever enter service. The Reventon, for example, has lines that are largely inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The Reventon was a predecessor to the Aventador and you can still see many of its lines recreated in the new Aventador S.

Another aviation themed moment in Lamborghini history comes from the unveiling of the Veneno. Lamborghini only ever built and sold three models. The initial unveil of the Roadster variant took place on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
