The holiday has ancient Irish traditions, and although those traditions are important and serious, this is often a time for people to get together and cheer to one another’s health and happiness. This year St. Patrick’s Day is on a Friday! How perfect is that? This day may be associated with drinking pints of Guinness, but it’s important to include family-friendly activities as well. This is a great event for the kids, with face painters, balloon artists, a bounce house, and more to make it a fun time for all.

Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

If you want to see some marching, head on over to Delray Beach for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! The festival starts March 10 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., then continues at 11 a.m. on March 11. The parade steps off March 11 at 12 p.m. Bring the whole family, and wear green!
